Prenatal courses – Based on the desire to be with each couple and to grant all the necessary support before the baby is born, Medpark launched the Prenatal Educational Center with the motto “Preparing parents for happy babies”. Thus, with a multidisciplinary team formed by gynecologists, neonatologists, nutritionists and physiotherapists, Medpark runs a series of practical medical sessions, which teach parents some newborn care secrets, for the baby, to grow up strong and healthy.

„Help us protect your heart!” – Medpark initiated in 2014 an information campaign on the risks posed by undetected cardiovascular disease and the importance of periodic checks on time. The actuality of the campaign is conditioned by the increasing number of deaths from cardiovascular disease across the country, including among the younger generation.

“The Cardio Mobile Team in your town”

Due to the low awareness of heart attack symptoms and the low level of addressability to the physician among the population of the Republic of Moldova, the Center for Health Strategies and Policies (CSPS) launched the project “The Cardio Mobile Team in Your Town”. This project is carried out with the professional and technical support of the Medpark International Hospital. The aim is to ensure access for the population in the regions to cardiovascular disease screenings and their early identification.

The cardio mobile team consists of experienced cardiologists of the Heart care Center and nurses. 1901 patients were examined free of charge within the project, of whom 276 were at risk of heart attack. Dozens of patients have already benefited from free investigations and treatment, thus avoiding far more serious consequences.

Olga Schiopu, General Manager of Medpark: ” All the cases when we were able to diagnose on time patients with heart problems that could lead to a myocardial infarction are our biggest reward. It is impressive to see concern and hope on the faces of people waiting to be consulted. After seeing everyone with their illnesses and problems, we understand how much they need to feel that their life is important. I saw discouraged people who at the age of 50 said “I lived enough already.” I saw happy people who found that the older problem no longer exists. I have seen people who have found the hope of doing a further investigation that will give them the chance to live. All this things that we do are from respect for life, with love for people.”
